Absences

All absences and late arrivals from school require notification by student parents/carers. This facilitates the accurate completion of the Register of Attendance in compliance with Government policies. Absences must be notified in writing to the class educator or front office.

Appointments

Communication between school and home is highly valued. Parents are asked to make an appointment for any discussion with the Principal, Deputy Principal, School Psychologist or educators. An appointment will be arranged at the earliest possible time and attention will be given immediately to urgent issues. Please note that our educators meet on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons.

Arrival at School

Students should not be at school before 8.45 am. From 8.45 am an educator is on duty in the school playground. Students then move to their class line area at 9.00 am when the school bell rings. Students are not to use the play equipment or play running games before school. In the event a student needs assistance or first aid they can see the educator on duty or seek help from the first aid officer in the front office.

Assembly

Whole school assemblies are held each fortnight on Friday afternoon commencing at 2.15 pm in the school hall. Year 6 students take turns to compere the assembly and classes take turns to present an item. Student of the Week awards are presented to two students from each class by the Principal and Deputy Principal at the assembly.
