ACT Public Education Excellence Awards – The results are in!
It was an absolute privilege to attend the Public Education Exellence Awards last Thursday night with our five nominees: Ni Ceely, Leslie Carr, Kathy Nash, Sarah Baird and Jacque Mengel. The Public Education Excellence Awards were introduced in 2010 to recognise and celebrate outstanding achievement in public education in the ACT. In 2014, A record 123 nominations were received. I would like to congratulate Sarah Baird who was one of three educators shortlisted nominees in the Early Childhood category, Kathy Nash who was one of three educator shortlisted in the Primary Teaching category and Jacque Mengel who was one of three educators shortlisted in the Education Support Category. This is such an outstanding achievement and I am incredibly grateful that we have such high calibre educators at Maribyrnong.
